Oreo Cupcakes ♥

Nutella Buttercream Frosting ♥

Ingredients: 

• 2 sticks of unsalted butter (softened).

• 1 jar of Nutella (13 oz).

• A pinch of find grain sea salt.

• 2 pounds of confectioners sugar (sifted).

• 1 tablespoon of clear vanilla extract.

• 6-8 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk.

Directions:

Step 1 - In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and Nutella until well combined. Slowly add in confectioner’s sugar, and continue creaming until well blended.

Step 2 - Add salt, vanilla, and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk. Blend on low speed until moistened. Add an additional 3-5 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk until you reach the desired consistency. Beat at high speed until frosting is smooth and fluffy.

Note:

* This recipe will make enough frosting to generously frost 24 cupcakes or one 9 inch layer cake.

* You can easily adjust the consistency of this recipe by simply adding in more heavy cream or milk.

* Covered and refrigerated frosting can be stored for up to three days. Simply bring it to room temperature and beat with an electric mixer until smooht. You may need to add a couple of teaspoons of heavy cream or milk to revive the consistency.

Take-5 Cupcakes ♥

Buttercream Oreo Frosting Recipe! ♥

Ingredients:

• 1 stick of salted butter (room temperature).

• 1 stick of unsalted butter (room temperature).

• 1 cup of shortening.

• 1 tablespoon of Clear Vanilla extract.

• 2 pounds confectioner’s sugar.

• 4-6 tablespoons very cold milk.

• 8 crushed Oreo cookies with cream removed before crushing.

Directions:

Step 1 -Cream the butter and shortening in the bowl of an electric or stand mixer.

Step 2 - Add the clear vanilla extract and combine well.

Step 3 - Begin adding in the sugar and mixing thoroughly after each addition.

Step 4 - After all of the sugar has been added and mixed thoroughly, begin adding the very cold milk, one tablespoon at a time, combining very well after each addition (mixer on medium-high to high speed) until you reach the desired consistency.

Step 5 - Fold in the Oreo cookie crumbs. Top cooled cupcakes with the buttercream frosting and garnish with 1/2 an Oreo.
